Hepatology at the University of Cincinnati
The University of Cincinnati has a large Liver Center dedicated to research, patient care and management and teaching. Currently, five hepatologists are on staff, supported by Clinical Nurse Specialists, Research Coordinators and Laboratory Personnel. The Liver Center provides specialized training to highly qualified physicians in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation Medicine. State of the art facilities are available for the complete diagnosis, management and treatment of liver diseases including:

  • Inpatient Hospital Facilities with Liver Floor staffed by nurses who focus on liver disease and transplantation
  • Transplantation including Living Related Donor and Split Cadaveric Transplants

  • Special Liver Imaging including MRI for evaluation of hepatic iron and color Doppler vascular imaging by specially trained radiologists
Lodging
Kingsgate Conference Center Patients and visitors who require lodging may stay at the brand new, state of the art Kingsgate Conference Center on the University of Cincinnati Campus. The Center offers 206 deluxe guest rooms plus a variety of on-site services at a reasonable cost.

Directions to the Medical Center
From Northbound I-71 ( Map )
  • Exit at Reading Road. Travel north on Reading to Martin Luther King Drive (seventh stoplight). Turn left onto Martin Luther King, and continue on King for several blocks until you reach the medical center area.
From Southbound I-71 ( Map )
  • Exit at William Howard Taft Road. Follow Taft to Highland Avenue (fourth stoplight). Turn right and continue on Highland Avenue for several blocks. This will bring you to the medical center area.
From North or Southbound I-75 ( Map )
  • Exit at the Hopple Street interchange. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left. At the first stoplight, travel through the intersection and continue up the hill. This road is Martin Luther King Drive. Continue on Martin Luther King, driving past the west campus of the university until you reach the medical center area.
From Northbound I-471 ( Map )
  • After crossing the river, take the Liberty Street exit. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Reading Road. Follow Reading to Martin Luther King Drive (ninth stoplight). Turn left onto Martin Luther King, and continue on King for several blocks until you reach the medical center area.
